HealthEventSignup.com ("we," "us," "our," or "the Site") provides online registration pages for free community health and wellness education events — in-person seminars and online webinars organized and presented by independent medical and functional medicine practices ("Hosting Practices"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our registration pages, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the privacy choices available to you.
Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you register for an event, we collect the information you enter on the registration form — typically your name, email address, and phone number.
Information collected automatically. When you visit a registration page, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, referring URL, general location (city/region level), and information from cookies and similar technologies described below.
Information we do not collect. We do not ask for or collect health information, medical history, insurance information, or payment information through our registration pages. All events listed on this Site are free to attend.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our registration pages use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Functional cookies — to remember whether you've already viewed a page during your visit, so we don't show the same introductory screen twice.
- Advertising and analytics technologies — including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, Meta's Conversions API, and Google Tag Manager, which help the Hosting Practice measure the performance of their event advertising and understand how visitors find and use their registration page.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the registration process may not function correctly if cookies are disabled.
How We Use Your Information
- To process and confirm your event registration
- To share your registration details with the Hosting Practice presenting your event, so they can prepare for the event and communicate with you about it
- To send confirmation and reminder communications related to the event you registered for
- To help the Hosting Practice measure and improve their event advertising
How We Share Your Information
With the Hosting Practice. We share your registration information with the specific practice presenting the event you registered for. They use this information to prepare for the event and contact you about it directly.
With service providers. We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Site and process registrations, including:
- Airtable — to manage event content and details
- Cloudflare — to host and deliver our registration pages
- GoHighLevel — to process registration form submissions and manage related communications
- Meta (Facebook) — for advertising measurement, as described above
- Google — for site analytics via Google Tag Manager
These providers only use your information to perform services on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you certain rights regarding your personal information.
"Sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. Our use of the Meta Pixel to help Hosting Practices measure ad performance may be considered "sharing" of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA definition of cross-context behavioral advertising, even though we do not sell your information for money.
Your right to opt out. You can opt out of this sharing by:
- Emailing us at privacy@healtheventsignup.com with the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out," or
- Adjusting your ad preferences directly through Meta's Ad Preferences settings, or
- Using your browser's cookie controls or a privacy/ad-blocking extension to block third-party advertising cookies
Other California rights. You also have the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, to request deletion of your information, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Data Retention
We retain registration information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — generally no longer than the current and immediately following event season for the Hosting Practice you registered with — after which it is deleted or de-identified in accordance with our standard data retention practices.
Not Medical Advice
Content presented on our registration pages and during events is educational and informational in nature. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare provider. Registering for an event does not create a doctor-patient relationship with the Hosting Practice or with HealthEventSignup.com.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information submitted through our registration pages. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to interpret this signal, our Site does not currently respond differently based on Do Not Track browser settings.
Children's Privacy
Our registration pages are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
